This afternoon brought news of a death in my family. It seems only fitting that I remind both myself and my fellow Jennies of the beautiful circle of life. Here we have my 82 year old grandfather taking care of his sheep. The mother is a Hampshire ewe who lost her lamb. The lamb is a Ramboullet who lost his mother. Neither of them mind that they are different kinds of sheep, they needed each other, they found each other, they love each other. New life, specifically the way that baby lambs spin their tails as they nurse because they are so happy, is just the thought I need in my head right now.
